Here’s an amazing power supply offered by EVGA, most power supplies have 8 year long warranties, so 10 years confirms that the power supply is of decent quality. Longer warranties should always be sought after, the PSU is the most important component in my experience.
Gamers are going to benefit the most from this power supply, it’s quiet thanks to the 140MM double ball bearing fans; this will maintain the immersion in game. As an avid gamer, the last thing I’d like to hear is power supply fans ramping up, the EVGA P2 1000W is able to maintain acceptable acoustics even at max load.
However, one potential issue with this power supply which could negatively impact gamers is the coil whine issue, you may experience this, but it depends on the specific unit you buy. If you experience coil whine, it can be annoying if you’re gaming or performing professional work, so I fully understand why you’d avoid this product.

If the EVGA P2 1000W wasn’t overkill enough, then the Corsair HX1000W will ensure that you’ll have the best experience in terms of power delivery.
My favorite aspect about the HX1000W is the ability to switch between +12V rail or multiple +12 rails, what this does is ensure you have clean and reliable power across all your components.
It doesn’t suffer from any of the coil while issues the P2 1000W has, and it also comes with 10 years of warranty. One of the most annoying things I’d hate to go through is coil whine, so I’m happy whenever I use the Corsair HX1000W.
Also, my second favorite aspect is that it is 80+ rated, I like knowing that my power supply is fairly efficient with the power it pulls from the wall.
The only potential downside to this power supply is that the cables can be a hassle to work with due to them being bulky and potentially stiff out of the box, this can slow down cable management. Difficulties with cable management can ultimately lead to laziness and a less than desirable end result.

This is undoubtable my favorite power supply on the list, I will always prioritize durability and longevity in crucial products such as a power supply.
So I can be rest assured that this power supply will last at least a decade, and will go through several graphics cards, processors, and motherboards. By the time the power supply needs replacing, the original components would be long gone and outdated.
Secondly, I touched on how stiff cables are pretty annoying, well this power supply has cables that are easy to cable manage. So there’s less chance of an undesirable outcome when building your PC.
Thirdly, the power supply is 80+ rated, this is extremely efficient, in fact, it’s the most efficient a power supply can get. This is a testament to the high quality components that are present in this particular unit.
Overall, if you want the highest quality power supply (which everyone should want), this power supply will ensure the longevity and safety of your build.

Purely from a performance perspective, the SuperNOVA G6 1000W is exceptional, it’s able to provide high quality power whilst keeping things cool. Overall, this is an acceptable power supply for a standard gaming PC that doesn’t require anything too over the top.
Its performance levels are pretty similar to the previous versions (G2, and G3) which is why the G6 1000W is such a great power supply.
Overall, the build quality is decent, it’s not something that I’d be concerned with if I paired it with a expensive RTX 40 series graphics card. It uses high quality Japanese capacitors which is always a good sign, and it has a long 10 year long warranty, so the PSU overall is reliable.
On top of the great performance, the power supply is compact coming in at only 140MM, compact power supplies are significantly easier to install and cable manage.
The only potential downside is that it can get noisy under huge loads, this means gamers will suffer. Also, you may suffer from coil whine, this depends on the specific unit you receive.

5 Tips To Consider Before Purchasing A Power Supply
1. Don’t Assume Higher = More performance: Many assume that higher wattage power supplies are better for performance, this isn’t the case. You won’t need a 1600W Power supply unit for a system that only requires 600W.
2. Pay Attention To Efficiency Ratings: Higher efficiency power supplies use better components which results in the power supply generating less heat and consuming more energy.
3. Research The Brands: There are so many power supply brands out there, and not all of them produce great products. Reliable manufacturers are – Corsair, Seasonic, EVGA.
4. Know What Type Of PSU You Need: Do you need a modular or a non-modular power supply? Modular power supplies allow you to add and remove cables, none of them are soldered. Non-modular units come with all the necessary cables pre-attached, you cannot remove any of them.
5. Don’t mix and match cables: If your choice of power supply is fully modular, you’ll notice you can remove all the cables. While this is fine for cable management, you shouldn’t include cables that didn’t come with the PSU, this is why some power supplies fail and bring other components with them.
